ELIGIBILITY Horticulture - PROTECTED CULTIVATION (CAPSICUM): The farmer must have atleast either minimum 2000 m2 area under Net House and/or 1000 m2 area under Greenhouse / Polyhouse . Must be growing this crop for atleast 3 years. Rainfed Farming – (A) Chilli Crop (Red Mature Produce) : The farmer must have at least 1 hectare area under sole Chilli Crop (Red Mature Produce).. He should be growing this crop for atleast 3 years. (B) Finger MIllet (Ragi ) - Reannounced : The farmer must have at least 1 acre area under sole Finger Millet (Ragi) Crop. He should be growing this crop for at least 3 years. Woman Farmer - Self Help Group (SHG) engaged in Masala Making : A Self-Help-Group of women farmers engaged in Masala Making for Commercial Purposes only. A sellable produce of minimum 1 ton/year (all varieties put together). Must be engaged in this for a period of about 5 years. Members of SHG should grow/produce atleast one type of spice that is used in masala making. The SHG should work according to the criteria laid down for a SHG including the number of women farmers, their registration, pooling resources, marketing of products, sharing profits and following a system of working together Special Award for International Year of Pulses 2016 : PIGEON PEA (ARHAR) : The farmer must have minimum 1 hectare under irrigated or 2 hectare under rainfed (Rainfed farming refers to use of natural rainfall for raising the crop. It may include the use of various rain water harvesting techniques only) solely under Pigeon Pea Crop. He should be growing this crop for at least 3 years.
