For the year 2012, an overwhelming response was received to our announcement for Junior and Senior Fellowships. Nearly 250 students from State Agricultural Universities had applied for these fellowships. After scrutiny of applications, students were invited for interview at the Aspee House at Malad, Mumbai on 2nd and 3rd March, 2012. Eminent scientists from various State Agricultural Universities worked as Subject Matter Specialist and selected the following candidates for Award of the Junior and Senior fellowships for the year 2012.
It has been noticed that the students in recent years have been seeking admission to higher studies in institutions located in States other than their own in order to discourage inbreeding. Almost 50% of the fellowship holders were girl students. The academic performance of the students, by and large was outstanding. We profusely congratulate the fellowship holders and extend to them our best wishes for their future.
