Farmer Of The Year Award

The Aspee Foundation and the Aspee Group has been a constant source of inspiration to the farmers. They have been diligently working towards helping farmers to upgrade their status in the society. So far 40 farmers have been awarded. Modernization in agriculture is required for fulfilling “RIGHT TO FOOD”.

Farmer Of The Year 2013 and 2014

The Aspee L. M. Patel Farmer for the year 2013 and 2014 were give away on Saturday 19th December, 2015. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. Purvi Mehta Bhatt, Senior Advisor & Head of Agriculture, (South Asia), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The Committee selected following awardees-

YEAR 2014
1) Horticulture Category Tomato Crop
        Award Winner:  Shri. Bhavin Chawda, Tatibandh, Raipur, Chattisgarh

2) Rainfed farming (Bajra)

Farmer Of The Year 2012

For the year 2012 announcement for the Award was done, Nomination forms are scrutinized and farmers are already shortlisted for video shooting in the following categories:-

1) Rainfed Farming – PEARL MILLET (BAJRA)
        
2) Horticulture – SAPOTA (CHIKU)
        
3) Woman Farmer – A SELF-HELP GROUP OF WOMEN FARMERS ENGAGED IN CULTIVATION OF VEGETABLE CROPS. (This award is in honour of Smt. Maniben Patel, wife of Late Shri L.M.Patel)

Farmer Of The Year 2011


The Managing Council under the Chairmanship of Prof.M.S. Swaminathan has already selected the award winning farmers for the Aspee L. M. Patel Farmer of the Year Award 2011 in the following Categories. They are:-

The Governing Council and the Managing Council had a meeting on Saturday, 12th November, 2011, to finalize the Awardees for the Aspee L. M. Patel Farmer of the year 2010. The Committee selected following awardees
