Following the demise of Shri L. M. Patel on March 12, 1996, the ASPEE Group of Companies, under the visionary leadership of his sons Shri Sharad Patel and Shri Kiran Patel, resolved to expand and strengthen his mission across the nation.
Their dedication has ensured that his ideals continue to inspire generations committed to agriculture, education and rural progress.
His vision continues to live on through the prestigious ASPEE L. M. Patel Farmer of the Year Awards, instituted to recognise outstanding contributions in the fields of Horticulture, Rainfed Farming and Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh, along with a trophy and citation, celebrating the hard work, innovation and dedication of progressive farmers who contribute significantly to the advancement of Indian agriculture.
